Scope and Content

This collection contains images from the office of William J. J. Chase, including photographs from the awards ceremony of the 31st Annual Golf Tournament held at the Capitol City Country Club and images of club members. Of special interest is a photograph of the Warlick Building on Peachtree Street which was located directly across the street from the Flatiron Building (also known as the English American Building).

Scope and Content This collection consists of photographs of William L. Monroe, Sr. and family members, wife Ila Smith Monroe, and children Evelyn Doris Monroe and William (Billy) L. Monroe, Jr. The majority of the images were taken in Monroe Gardens at 1896 Monroe Drive, Atlanta, Georgia, adjacent to Monroe's Landscape and Nursery Company. Of special interest are background features of the garden, such as the lodge, chapel, bomb shelter, and stone terracing, which provide details on the garden plan created...

Scope and Content

This collection consists of photographs documented and collected by William R. Mitchell, Jr that appeared in his books, lectures, and architectural studies. The photographs were taken in various Georgia cities including Atlanta, Savannah, Thomasville, Roswell, and Albany. The images are of residential homes and apartments, furnished interiors, historic buildings, parks, streetscapes, churches, and Edward Vason Jones's 19th Century America exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Scope and Content

This collection contains landscape drawings of chiefly residential properties in Atlanta and other cities in Georgia and North Carolina. Some of the drawings from 1982-1985 were created by Franklin-Smith Associates of which Smith was a landscape architect. Also part of the collection is a business poster and landscape plans for parks and a subdivision. Of special interest are drawings for the Schlaifer residence in Atlanta and the Williamson residence, Salubrity Hall, in Augusta.

This collection contains contracts, correspondence, invoices, and task lists that detail landscape projects and involvement with clients. Also a part of the collection are landscape plans and plant lists. Of special interest is a portfolio of completed landscape work for the Schlaifer residence in the Tuxedo Park neighborhood of Atlanta.
